New: The #dragonfly 40 is nominated in the fourth election of 'Multihull of the Year 2021', by Multihulls World Magazine.

First and foremost, we would like to thank everybody for nominating the new #dragonfly 40. To be honest, every single nomination – and win – is an honour and a thrill for #dragonfly, and a huge pat on the back to our entire team, who is dedicated to building innovative and comfortable trimarans in authentic Danish design and quality.

All boatbuilders know that when building boats, focus and dedication is very important. Boat building is quite a long process and for several months we see, step by step, how #dragonfly trimarans come to live, all the way from the initial drawings to her first time on water. To see the final result is always a highly anticipated moment of joy, excitement and expectation.

The new #dragonfly 40 was no exception to that.

Some say she is bold, big and beautiful. Others call her classy, comfortable and captivating. However, and most importantly, she is created for the joy and comfort of our clients who love sailing, speed and the unique possibility of easily slipping into a monohull dock space of just 13'1" (4 m) in beam, due to the swing wing system.

The new nomination of 'Multihull of the year 2021' tells us that the combination of the cruising- and performance concept is sought-after in trimarans and that sailing enthusiasts feel free and comfortable when sailing the #dragonfly 40. We are very proud that our flagship #dragonfly 40 is nominated for four awards:

  • Multihull of the Year 2021, by Multihulls World Magazine
  • The British Yachting Awards 2020
  • Best Boats 2021 in the US, by Sail Magazine
  • European #yacht of the Year 2021, by the 12 leading European magazines

Being nominated is very exciting. We look forward to the final election and to see who the winner is - every single vote from clients and connections is appreciated – thank you!

Please remember that our yard in Skærbæk, Denmark, is still open for visitors and test sailings. If you have any questions or need more information do not hesitate to contact us, we are always ready to answer questions in person, by phone or e-mail.
