Jeep® brand and Montreux Jazz Festival celebrate together respective successful birthdays

For the second year running, #jeep is Global Partner of #montreuxjazzfestival, which will take place from July, 1st to 16th this year in Montreux.  The Swiss city - located in the canton of Vaud in a bay overlooking Lake Geneva - will host for the 50th year one of the most important and prestigious European music festivals. Created in 1967, the festival has a sound library of over 5,000 hours of live music recorded in Montreux and protected by the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme, which will be enriched further with 2016 performances. Tickets for the various events are already on sale from April 15th on the Festival website.

The partnership has been renewed for 2016 in the wake of the success of the past edition, joined by over 240,000 fans from all over Europe. #jeep and the #montreuxjazzfestival stand out in their respective fields: #jeep, with its 75-year history, is a real lifestyle brand and a legend in the automotive sector, while the #montreuxjazzfestival has been at the forefront of music innovation and evolution for the last 50 years. As the Swiss festival has been able to attract thousands of music fans from across the globe to the shore of Lake Geneva, the #jeep brand boasts thousands of enthusiasts worldwide. The common intent of the two icons is to make lovers of both worlds feel they are in the heart of an unrepeatable, thrilling experience.

Artists and international guests will travel on-board the entire #jeep range and the new 75th Anniversary special edition models created to celebrate the brand's jubilee. A fleet of about 30 #jeep SUVs will be available for transferring artists, such as Muse, Lana Del Rey, Santana, Deep Purple, Neil Young, Simply Red, Van Morrison, Patti Smith, Marcus Miller and Zappa. Artists and international guests will travel on-board the flagship Grand Cherokee, the most awarded #suv ever, the iconic Wrangler, Cherokee which blends the legendary #jeep #4x4 capabilities with cutting-edge design and Renegade, the entry to #jeep #suv world  with the best off-road capabilities in its category.

Jeep vehicles will also be present onsite the Festival: in the Main Entrance Hall to the main stage at the Auditorium Stravinski and leading to the other legendary stages: the Montreux Jazz Club and the Montreux Jazz Lab.

The sponsorship will also be promoted through all various #jeep social channels, thanks to the release and sharing of audio and video tracks, which have marked the history of the #montreuxjazzfestival.
