Jeep takes the field with Juventus in the most anticipated match of the year

The brand has been Official Sponsor of the Italian champions for three years running and will be by their side also during the most important match of 2015. Renegade, the Italian made compact SUV, will accompany fans on the road from Turin to Berlin, enliven the wait and turn the German capital black and white. The road adventure in perfect Jeep spirit will culminate in the grand final at the Olympiastadion.

 

The Jeep brand is lining up an array of activities to accompany team and fans to the grand final in Berlin. It will be a real journey with Renegade, the compact SUV with an off-road temperament, and this is not by chance, as the road that leads up to the most important achievements is never easy and having the right vehicle is paramount. The surprises have already started this morning when four Juventus fans and BlaBlaCar users, from the world’s leading long-distance ridesharing community, were astounded to find a zebra-striped Jeep Renegade waiting for them in front of the Juventus Stadium. The first Jeep made in Italy has already set off for Berlin. The fans will travel together and will be invited to document their journey with photos and tweets. The story of their journey and the pre-match excitement will be shared in real time also by the official Blablacar and Jeep-People channels with the hashtags #ceneandiamoaberlino, #roadtoberlin, #forzaj and #BlaBlaJeep.

 

Innovative design elements and typical Jeep heritage: Renegade will not go unnoticed on the streets of Berlin. A fleet of 50 zebra-striped cars will light up the most famous city sights and become a unique attraction for passers-by and the thousands of fans who will flock to the city. What is more, some of these cars will be driven by the X Ambassadors, the famous US indie-rock band who wrote and sang the song “Renegades”, the sound track of the latest communication campaign dedicated to the compact SUV. The collaboration between the Jeep brand and the X Ambassadors is emblematic of the values shared by everyone who chooses to drive a Renegade: independent music-loving metropolitan youths who have an active social life and seek adventure wherever it may be. Berlin is the ideal stage and Juventus' rush to win the most coveted prize could not have a more exciting backdrop.

 

The X Ambassadors will drive around the city giving out hard-to-find tickets for a performance in real “Renegade” style to their fans, to Juventus fans and the people of Berlin: they will be playing live on Saturday 6 from 7 p.m. on the rooftop of a famous venue in Kreuzberg, the most fashionable district in Berlin. It will be a tribute to Jeep to cheer Juventus on ahead of the match, which will be shown on a maxi screen after the live show for the enjoyment of music and football fans alike.

 

Thousands of fans will converge on Berlin from all parts of the world. Four of them, all BlaBlaCar users, will be driving to Berlin in a zebra-striped Jeep Renegade, but only one will be walking most of the way. Nicolò De Marchi is a die-hard Juventus fan and is fulfilling the promise he made at the semi-final: if his team won, he would have to walk all the way to the Olympiastadion. This was his response to the hashtag #SeAndiamoInFinale ('if we make it to the final') launched by Juventus. To honour his word, the club decided to give him a ticket for the match and, to help him in his undertaking, Jeep provided a Renegade to follow him across Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany, for a total of 1100 kilometres in eight legs. Nicolò will be given a 20-kilometre bonus on a Renegade for each year of his passion for Juventus: a total of 440 kilometres.

 

The fans who will not be able to join the fun in Berlin can follow all Jeep's activities on the official Jeep-People and Jeep Italia social media channels: and while Juventus is playing, thanks to a partnership with Twitter, for the first time in Italy a team of digital experts will be engaged in a creative real-time marketing campaign. Follow@JeepItalia and @Jeep_People to read the special contents posted as it happens on the pitch in real time. The posts will be accompanied by images created exclusively by the famous illustrator Ale Giorgini, who will give his creative interpretation of the key moments of the match, involving the public in an original way.

 

Juventus will be cheered on symbolically from all corners of the world thanks to an event created by FCA for itsemployees. Through a video message, the fans will let the players in the grand final feel all the warmth of their enthusiasm, singing the famous anthem “Fino alla fine Forza Juventus” (Come on Juventus, all the way). The video of this event will be published on the corporate Intranet and shared on the Jeep and Juventus web and social network platforms. In addition to being a great demonstration of football devotion, sportsmanship and support for the national colours, this is the first venture to call up all employees to take part in an original project.

 

All these activities reassert the strong bond with Juventus, of which Jeep has been Official Sponsor for three seasons. The partnership was kicked off on July 12, 2012 when the club’s new official jersey was presented at the Juventus Stadium in Turin. The logo of Jeep, the brand which is the byword for adventure and which shares a past of authenticity, passion and capability for overcoming all challenges, has been proudly sported since then. Above all, it is a success story: in this season Juventus has won the Serie A TIM championship and the TIM Cup 2014-2015 and Jeep is winning too. The brand has registered uninterrupted growth for the past 18 months and Renegade, the first Italian-made Jeep, has gained a strong footing in the top ten best-selling vehicles in its class in Europe.
