What Happens in Las Vegas, Stays in The Riviera Forever
LAS VEGAS – To honor the #rivierahotel & Casino and the history it shared with visitors the last 60 years, #lasvegas will send off this iconic #hotel with WHHSH confessions. Beginning June 3, #lasvegas fans from around the world will have the opportunity to submit their “What Happens Here, Stays Here” confessions that will become permanently woven into Las Vegas’ history when the Riviera implosion occurs June 14.
The Riviera will become a “WHHSH Vault” inspiring people to submit electronic confessions that will remain in #lasvegas forever with the implosion. As the Riviera walls come down, the confessions will be concealed, creating the ultimate “What Happens Here, Stays Here” moment. Each person to submit a confession will be entered into a contest where they can win a trip to #lasvegas and get the opportunity to create new WHHSH memories. Digital submissions can be submitted now at: www.whhsh.com.
“The #rivierahotel & Casino has been a cherished piece of #lasvegas history and we felt it deserved a memorable farewell celebration,” said Cathy Tull, senior vice president of marketing for the #lasvegas Convention and Visitors Authority. “By collecting our visitors’ ‘What Happens Here, Stays Here’ memories, we are providing the opportunity for those moments to truly stay in Vegas forever as a part of the destination’s history.”
The implosion of the Riviera will lead to exciting changes on the north end of the #lasvegas Strip as the space is utilized for an expansion to the #lasvegas Convention Center. A proven asset and economic driver to the #lasvegas community, the #lasvegas Convention Center expansion ensures the destination is able to keep up with the ever-evolving needs of tradeshow clients.
