New Fiat 500C auctioned off by Lapo Elkann at “amfAR” gala

The Fiat brand and Garage Italia Customs were the protagonist at the charity evening organised in Milan by the "amfAR" foundation. Two iconic New Fiat 500s were auctioned off by Lapo Elkann. The cars were purchased Renzo Rosso, founder of "Diesel" and president of the "OTB" fashion group, and David Wertheimer for a total of 250,000 Euro. The money will be donated to AIDS research. The buyers will be offered the opportunity to customise their cars together with the Garage Italia Customs designers.

The gala evening of the "amfAR" foundation, sponsored by Fiat, Lapo Elkann and Garage Italia Customs, was held on Saturday evening in Milan, in the splendid setting of the Teatro della Permanente in via Turati 34. The cause of AIDS research was enthusiastically received and two New 500s were auctioned off for a total of 250,000 Euro. The money will be donated to the foundation, and this is the highest amount collected during the auction.

The generous buyers were Renzo Rosso, founder of "Diesel" and president of the "OTB" fashion group, and David Wertheimer, from the renowned French industrial family, who will be given the opportunity to style a tailor-made customisation with the designers of Lapo Elkann's recently established Garage Italia Customs, which creates made-to-measure projects that express each customer's unique personality.

This event is further confirmation that FCA is always on the front line to support social projects and seals the successful synergy with "amfAr". The foundation plays a key role in AIDS research by identifying the critical gaps in HIV and AIDS knowledge and supporting innovative studies, including those which do not have the preliminary data that more traditional sponsors often require.
