Swedish Guests of Honor at 2016 Camp Jeep® Exclusive Concert from The Hives

Everything is ready for the third edition of the Camp Jeep®, the annual rally of the #jeep Owners Group (JOG) members and the brand's fans coming from all over Europe, to be held June 2-5 in Bassella, Spain.
One of the most eagerly awaited events is a very special performance by The Hives on June 4, the eve of one of #jeep brand's historical dates. It was in fact on June 5, 1941 when the first Willys MA was produced, marking the beginning of a legend in the international automotive industry.

The performance by The Hives is just one of the reasons why the special #campjeep edition promises to make the Spanish town the European center of the 75th anniversary of the American brand. Hundreds of #jeep vehicles and fans of the brand are expected to arrive for the occasion, producing a type of #event especially dear to the #jeep world continuity, as it has contributed to creating the concept of "social network" well before the first social network was invented on the web. Founded in August 2014, JOG is the one and only official fan club of the #jeep brand, managed directly by the brand and active in 24 countries in the EMEA region, with over 75,000 members.

The beating heart of #campjeep will be the Main Stage area with a large stage where live concerts and enthralling activities will alternate continuously. One of those will be the extraordinary concert of the band The Hives. Guests will be able to visit the Mopar stand with its display of accessories for customizing #jeep vehicles; the "JOG" zone where all the benefits of #jeep Owners Group members and the dedicated merchandising can be discovered; the "Jeep Show Room" area where the 75th Anniversary #jeep range will be exhibited; and the "Jeep Classic" building where a few historical rarities can be admired, like the Willys CJ2A of '46, the Willys CJ2A AGRI of '48, the Willys FC150 of '60 and the Willys pickup of '57.

The absolute star of the 2016 #campjeep is the complete most awarded #suv  range ever, including the "75thAnniversary" special edition that pays homage to the brand's legendary history. In particular, all four of the commemorative models - Wrangler, Renegade, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee - will be in the EMEA region for the first time. They are distinguished by the "75th Anniversary" badge, the exclusive green livery with a clear reference to nature, and the bronze and orange elements that pay tribute to the earth and off-road driving. Produced in a limited edition, all the commemorative SUVs will be equipped with the famous #jeep #4x4 systems, the refined sunroof and the innovative UconnectTM touchscreen with integrated navigation system. Among other things, the guests of the Spanish #event will get a preview look at the #jeep Skills application, which helps drivers tackle everyday adventures, on the Renegade 75th Anniversary. The pitch of their  Jeep Renegade, as well as the acceleration, braking, G force, position of the wheels and their slipping can be monitored in real time on the Uconnect 6.5" Radio Nav LIVE touchscreen so control is more direct and awareness is greater behind the wheel. All driving behavior information and travel data can then be consulted and shared with other #jeep community members.

Two extraordinary showcars built for the 50th Anniversary of the Easter #jeep Safari in Moab, Utah will arrive at #campjeep for the first time in Europe: the #jeep Trailcat, a top performance #suv packed with 707 HP of power, and the #jeep Comanche, which is reminiscent of the #jeep pick-ups of the past and borrows style details from the civil and military #jeep vehicles that have made history. Along with them are several MOPARized #jeep vehicles used in thrilling test drives. They are all unique concept cars that have been developed to meet the needs of customers looking for exclusive vehicles and that are able to combine a unique and innovative look with the legendary capabilities of the #jeep brand. And accompanying them are a few models that are landmarks of the brand's 75-year history which can be driven over a route set up inside #campjeep: the Grand Cherokee 5.9LX of 1998, the Wagoneer (XJ) of 1988, the Cherokee Golden Eagle of 1978, the Grand Wagoneer of 1991, the Willys Jeepster of 1948, the AMC #jeep Standard CJ7 of 1979, the Willys 4 WD station wagon of 1960, the Kaiser #jeep Wagoneer V-8 350 of 1969 and the Willys MB of 1944.

Jeep Academy professional instructors are also at the guests' disposal to teach them the secrets of off-road driving and to help them put what they have learned to the test on a specially created obstacle course inside #campjeep. Three areas with off-road routes about 50 km long and three different levels of difficulty and duration have also been singled out in the outskirts of Bassella. Guests will have the chance to brave them in the presence of qualified personnel ready to step in if necessary. The area around Bassella offers a multitude of tourist and cultural attractions that are clearly pointed out in the "Jeep Map" routes studied for the occasion. An expert guide to the surrounding places will accompany #campjeep guests along with their #jeep SUVS in search of mixed on-road and off-road routes with breathtaking views and picturesque panoramas.

In addition to the off-road guide, #campjeep will also offer several sports activities, starting with beach volley that can be played on two courts created for the occasion, to then continue with kayak outings on the crystal-clear water of Pantà de Rialb Lake, and lastly the original "Jeep shooting" trials and the tire change of a #jeep vehicle in which different teams of fans will challenge themselves. And, in perfect American style, a real drive-in movie theater has been set up near #campjeep so that guests can watch several movies from their cars starting from 10:30 p.m. Friday, June 3.
